SEATTLE -- One man is in serious condition after a shooting at a Seattle motel Wednesday night.

Police said a woman called 911 after an argument broke out before midnight in a room at the La Hacienda Motel at First Avenue South and Lucille Street in South Seattle.

Police said a man pulled a gun and shot the other man in the shoulder and thigh and then fled the motel room along with the woman who called police.

The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center for his injuries.

Authorities brought in K-9 officers and a helicopter to look for the gunman but were unable to find him or the woman who fled.

The three people involved in the shootings are adults, police said.
