Washington State Patrol Trooper Trent Cain said surveillance video showed a man jumping from the ferry Cathlamet early Monday.

The Coast Guard and local authorities searched Puget Sound for about four hours.

The man's unclaimed vehicle was discovered at about 12:44 a.m. Monday, while the ferry was docked at the Clinton terminal on Whidbey Island.

The Washington State Patrol did not release a name or any other details about the man but said his family has been notified.
