TACOMA, Wash. -- Police issued a warrant Thursday for the arrest of a man in connection with two women who were robbed in Tacoma.

Police released surveillance video on Wednesday of a woman who was stalked and robbed by a man in an incident in June. Police said he struck again on Monday.

According to court documents, police have identified the suspect as Earl Lee Sherrod.

Surveillance video shows a man rob a woman, and then attempt to abduct and sexually assault her at knifepoint, said Detective Larry Andren of the Tacoma Police Department. The woman was walking to her car in the Pierce Transit Center near the Tacoma Dome shortly after 11 p.m. on June 8.

When the woman reached her car, the man moved in and pulled a knife, telling the woman he wants her to get into the car, Andren said.

Tacoma police said the same man tried the same thing at the Cedar Street Medical Center on Monday afternoon; cornering a woman alone in an elevator and threatening her at knifepoint.

During the investigation, police determined that Sherrod could be a potential suspect. They added his photo to a montage of others and both women identified Sherrod as her attacker.

Sherrod is not yet under arrest.
