Light Rail Software Glitch Halts Ticket Sales

Posted: 8:12 am PDT July 20, 2009

A software glitch has sporadically halted the ability for riders to purchase tickets for the new light rail line Monday morning.

KIRO 7 reporter Jeff Dubois said some riders trying to buy tickets for the new line are getting a message that says "transaction canceled."

A Sound Transit employee has to open the ticket machine to reset it, but the fix only lasts for a short time.

Officials said they're waiting for a technician to fix the problem.
