Water Main Break Leaves Gaping Hole In Ravenna Street

Posted: 3:53 pm PDT July 27, 2009Updated: 4:02 pm PDT July 27, 2009

A water main break sent a torrent of water rushing through the Ravenna neighborhood, affecting 35 homes.

Chopper 7 over the scene near Northeast 74th Street and 26 Avenue Northeast Monday afternoon showed a huge hole in the street where the water came gushing out.

The path of wet mud and gravel flooded down the streets. A KIRO 7 cameraman at the scene said the water was drying up quickly.

It's not known if homes have any water damage.
