Tanning Salons Target Of Serial Robber's Crime Spree

The Snohomish County Sheriff's Office said the same man may be responsible for robbing as many as 17 tanning salons in the Snohomish and King county areas.

Detectives believe the man began his crime spree on July 18 when he robbed a tanning salon in Mill Creek.

On July 22, the man robbed a tanning salon in the 17400 block of Highway 9 in the unincorporated Snohomish area. Police said the man walked into the business, robbed an employee at gunpoint and left with cash.

Police said the July 22 robbery is the only case being investigated by Snohomish County police, but detectives are working with other police agencies to share information in an attempt to catch the man.

The robber is described as a white, in his early 20s, 6 feet tall, 200 to 225 pounds with a small pot belly. He has blue eyes and short light brown hair that may have been recently bleached blonde as a disguise. He also is described as having a pale, round pudgy face with acne.

Anyone with information about the man or the robbery is asked to call the sheriff's office tip line at 425-388-3845.
