Seattle police detectives arrested two people in connection with a fatal shooting in Seattle's Rainier Valley.

Police said a 29-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman were arrested at 7 p.m. on the day of the shooting.

Seattle Police Department spokesman Renee Witt said police responded to the scene at Rainier Avenue South and South Byron Street shortly after 3 a.m. after neighbors in the area reported a man screaming that he had been shot.

The 31-year-old man was transported to a Harborview Medical Center with multiple gunshot wounds. He later died from his injuries.
