Three children were hurt after an SUV crashed into a child care center in Redmond Monday afternoon.

They were taken to area hospital for precautionary reasons, but none of the injuries appear to be serious, said Lt. Charlie Gorman of Redmond Police Department.

An adult child care employee was also checked by medics at the scene for injuries, but not transported.

Redmond police and fire department responded to a call of a vehicle into a child care center at the Archstone Redmond Campus apartment complex on 156th Ave Northeast, near the Microsoft campus, at about 4:10 p.m. Monday.

Emergency responders found a 2006 Toyota RAV-4 SUV halfway in a room at the child care center that had seven infants between the ages of 3-9 months old as well as employees, Gorman said.

The driver of the SUV, a 45-year-old woman from North Bend, was not injured.

Police interviewed the woman and are continuing their investigation into the cause of the accident.
