PARKLAND, Wash. -- A van struck and killed a 4-year-old girl who was riding her bicycle in a Parkland subdivision Friday afternoon, police said.Witnesses told KIRO 7 Eyewitness News reporter Kevin McCarty that the girl's father performed CPR on the girl after she was hit. “We heard her little brother yelling for help and we came over here to see what was going on and we saw her dad giving her CPR,” said eyewitness Maria Perez.Witnesses said the girl was on a small pink bicycle with training wheels when the van's driver pulled into a driveway at Sixth Avenue East and 115th Street East and the girl was hit. They said the van’s driver stopped as he pulled into the driveway to let a group of children pass, but he didn’t see the girl on her bike, who was trailing the others. She was pronounced dead after being airlifted to Harborview Medical Center.Investigators said there are no criminal charges pending in this incident and that at this point they are handling this case as a tragic accident.
