Burglary Ring Busted In Pacific; Victims Should Claim Items

Posted: 6:23 pm PDT September 10, 2009Updated: 9:06 am PDT September 11, 2009

Thousands of stolen items are being recovered after police busted a big burglary ring in Pacific.

Police are still searching for suspects, but said they are also looking for robbery victims to claim their stolen goods.

Police are sorting through items including furniture, luggage, bicycles – all items taken from burglaries in homes and storage units in the last few months.

Victims have already claimed some of their things including motorcycles, skis and camping gear.

“We just knew, we were told ‘Come in, we may have some of your stuff,' said burglary victim Keith, who did not want to reveal his last name.

“It's pretty hard to describe how happy that they were in seeing their property and getting it back. They were, they were giving us hugs," said Lt. Edwin Massey of the Pacific Police Department.

Police hope robbery victims in or near Pacific call police to see if their items can be recovered.

“We hope more people come forward, saying they were the victim of burglary, or some type of property crime,” Massey said.

Police are still looking for two known suspects; it’s not known how many arrests have been made so far.
