Man Arrested In Kirkland Bank Robbery

One man was arrested minutes after her robbed a Kirkland bank Wednesday.

Wearing a mask, the suspect entered the Wells Fargo Bank on 132nd Avenue in the Bridle Trails neighborhood and jumped over the counter, said Kirkland police.

He fled the bank with cash, but descriptions of the robber given by witnesses helped police find him near the bank.

He was taken into custody without incident and evidence and cash from the robbery were recovered.

Chopper 7 over the scene showed police searching the pockets of the suspect before putting him in a patrol car.

No one was injured in the incident.
