WASHINGTON -- There will be faces to go with the more than 58,000 names on the Vietnam Memorial.Today in Washington, D.C., the Vietnam Veterans Memorial and FedEx Office launched a national call for photos, an effort to gather images of those whose names are engraved on the Vietnam Memorial. FedEx will offer scanning services at over 1,600 locations around the country, where friends and families can bring photos of their loved ones. Those who wish to submit photos will be asked to fill out a form identifying the person in the picture and to share a memory of that individual. FedEx will then store both the photos and stories on behalf of the VVMF, and they'll eventually be displayed in The Education Center at the wall -- a state-of-the-art visitor facility being built under the National Mall. The Center will showcase the photos of those lost in the war on their birthdays. If you can't make it to a FedEx to scan your photos, you can also submit them online at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Web site, or send them by mail to:Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund Attn: Call for Photos 1023 15th St. NW, 2nd Floor Washington, D.C. 20005
