Family Of UW Falling Victim Suing Fraternity

The family of a University of Washington student who was killed after falling out of a fraternity house is suing the fraternity.

The Seattle PI reported the complaint was filed earlier this month in King County superior court.

Kevin MacDonald, 21, was killed after falling out of the Alpha Sigma Phi frat house in June 2008.

The complaint said MacDonald was on the top level of a bunk bed next to an open window before he fell.

An attorney for the family said the fraternity should have known the sleeping arrangements could lead to serious injuries.
