Bikini Baristas Incident Sparks Tougher Laws In Everett

Posted: 6:55 am PDT October 1, 2009

A tougher lewd conduct ordinance will take effect in about three weeks in Everett.

The city council took action Wednesday night after bikini baristas at Grab-n-Go espresso stands were accused of prostitution.

The ordinance limits conduct but not attire.

KIRO's partner, the Daily Herald, is reported that some former baristas said they were pushed to act provocatively and wear pasties at the stand.

Grab-n-Go's owner Bill Wheeler denies the accusations.
