2 Suspects Plead Not Guilty To Seattle Robbery Spree

Two out of four people accused in a robbery spree in the Green Lake area faced a judge Thursday morning.

Sheena Blackburn, 24, pleaded not guilty to three counts of robbery. According to the prosecutor, she admitted participating in the robbery spree and being the getaway driver in the series of holdups last month.

Jarvis Gibbs’ also appeared in court and pleaded not guilty.

His attorney, Kevin McConnell, did not want to discuss the case, “I don't have any authority to release information and frankly I don't have the police reports yet, so I haven't been able to speak in substance with him.”

All four suspects accused in the robbery spree were captured on surveillance video in a mini mart. Police said they were using stolen credit cards from the robbery victims to make purchases.

Gibbs' mother and sister were in court to support him., but they did not want to do an interview. They told KIRO 7 reporter Karen O’ Leary that they Gibbs’ bail is too high at $500,000 and worry he won't get a fair trial because the judge called him a danger to the public.

A third suspect is expected to have his arraignment next week.

The case could go to trial as early as mid November because Gibbs asked for an early trial date.

Police said the four are believed responsible for at least nine robberies in Seattle's Green Lake, Lake City, Magnolia and Capitol Hill neighborhoods.
