Posted: 1:19 pm PDT October 8, 2009Updated: 7:46 am PDT October 9, 2009

A man has died after an SUV car fell on top of him at an auto wrecking yard in Lynnwood.

Police spokeswoman Shannon Sessions initially told The Daily Herald of Everett that the 31-year old man died at the scene.

But police and paramedics were able to revive the man at Best Auto Parts. He was then rushed to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, but died shortly after 6 p.m. Thursday.

A KIRO 7 Eyewitness News photojournalist at the scene said the victim was a customer at the shop.

Police said that an employee of the wrecking yard used a forklift to raise the SUV off the man.

The man's name has not been released by the Snohomish County Medical Examiner's Office. All they would say is that he is from Monroe.
