Renton Espresso Stand Robber Caught On Camera

Renton police are looking for a man responsible for two armed holdups at an espresso stand in October.

Both robberies occurred at Simply Espresso at 401 Airport Way North in the City of Renton.

Police said in the first incident on Oct. 1 at 11:48 a.m., the man approached on foot and ordered a drink. When given his drink, he implied that he had a weapon in his pocket and demanded money from the register. After receiving the money he fled on foot.

The second incident occurred on Oct. 20 a 10:44 a.m. Police said the man approached the stand on foot, displayed a handgun and demanded all the money in the register. After receiving the money he fled on foot.

The man was clearly seen on surveillance footage in the second robbery.

The man is described as white, 30 to 35 years old, 6 feet tall, with a thin build. He was unshaven with reddish facial hair and collar-length dark brown hair. He was wearing a green camouflage coat over a grey hooded sweatshirt, a black baseball cap, and dark sunglasses.

Authorities ask anyone with information about the robberies to call 911 or the Renton Police Department at 425-430-7500. Police said the man is considered armed and dangerous.
