Sultan Woman Held In Connection With Fatal Hit-And-Run

EVERETT, Wash. -- A woman from Sultan is being held in Everett in connection with a deadly hit-and-run.Paula Stierns was killed as she walked along the 311th Avenue Southeast Bridge in Sultan earlier this month.The court said Friday that while the woman may not have realized that what she hit was a person, she later became aware there was a victim.The woman's bail was set at $100,000.KIRO's partner, The Daily Herald, said detectives used tips from the public and the Internet to track down the car, and ultimately, the driver.
