Arson Blamed For Fire At North Seattle Apartments

Firefighters said a fire that burned at a North Seattle Apartment complex overnight is arson.

The fire started at about 11:30 p.m. Monday. It burned carpet and part of a door at the three-story complex on Greenwood Avenue North at North 136th Street.

Damage estimated at $1,700.

No one was hurt.

Fire investigators said they couldn't say whether the fire is connected to any other arson fire in Seattle.

Monday night's fire happened about 50 blocks north of the Greenwood arson from last month.
