Co-Worker Recognizes Voice Of Woman Phoning In Bomb Threat

Posted: 11:04 am PST November 4, 2009

Hoquiam police arrested a woman after they said she phoned in a bomb threat to a nursing home, and the person taking the call recognized her voice, officers told KIRO 7 Eyewitness News.

The Pacific Care Convalescent was preparing to evacuate its 100 residents because of the call, but then the worker on the phone recognized the caller as a co-worker.

Hoquiam police found the caller, who claimed she was just trying to test the care center's emergency response.

Apparently, nobody bought the story, and the woman was issued a citation for causing an "unwarranted response."
