Man Arrested, Accused Of Impersonating Narcotics Officer

Posted: 12:05 pm PST November 4, 2009

A man was arrested at a University Place middle school earlier this week for allegedly impersonating a narcotics officer.

Antonio Codute-Farrison was arrested at Drum Middle school after he was seen walking the halls of the school, allegedly telling students he was a Pierce County Sheriff's Department narcotics officer.

Codute-Farrison,20, was taken into custody after school officials became suspicious of his claim that he was with law enforcement and notified the University Place police.

Codute-Farrison was arrested before on similar charges, once for showing up on campus at Challenger High School in Spanaway in December of 2008, and in February of that year for going to his ex-girlfriend's workplace where he attempted to arrest her on an outstanding warrant, police said.

A month later, Codute-Farrison was under investigation for allegedly walking through the B and I market in Lakewood wearing a badge, a vest, and a gun in a thigh holster, identifying himself as a Pierce county narcotics officer.

Codute-Farrison allegedly intervened in an altercation inside the market, producing a badge and claiming he was with law enforcement.

The man is a former employee of Pierce County Security company. Investigators say he occasionally claims he works for the firm.

Codute-Farrison was released pending further investigation.
