Police Searching For Fugitive In Lakewood Bank Robberies

Police are looking for a man suspected of robbing at least two banks in Lakewood and possibly two more in the Pierce County area.

Detectives said an arrest warrant was issued for Timothy Nuss who is charged with two robberies of Lakewood banks.

Prosecutors said Nuss robbed a Heritage Bank located in the 9800 block of Gravelly Lake Drive Southwest on Sept. 14 and a Key Bank in the 8000 block of Steilacoom Boulevard Southwest on Nov. 2.

Police said in both robberies, Nuss presented the bank teller a note stating he was armed and demanding cash.

Nuss is being investigated for two additional bank robberies in the Pierce County area in the month of October, police said.

Timothy Nuss is white, 31 years old, 6 feet tall, 180 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes. He is known to frequent motels in the Tacoma and Lakewood area.

Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and charges filed for the person in this case.
