Elk Hunter Missing North Of Aberdeen

Posted: 10:41 am PST November 10, 2009

The Grays Harbor County Sheriff's Office is looking for a missing 73-year-old elk hunter about 30 miles north Aberdeen.

The hunter, who just had triple bypass heart surgery about six months ago, was reported missing Monday afternoon.

He was last seen pursuing a herd of elk near the end of the Wishkah Road.

The Sheriff's Office set up a command post Tuesday morning on the 7500 Line Road and Wishkah Road.

Ground teams are looking for the man. Searchers said they hope the cloud cover breaks so they can get a helicopter up to aid in the search efforts.
