Vehicle Found, Questions Remain In Olympia Shooting

Police found a vehicle they were looking for in connection to a fatal Olympia shooting, but questions still remain.

Police were searching for a 1993 Jeep Cherokee after a 40-year-old man was shot in the 1700 block of Capitol Way in Olympia Monday morning. Medics pronounced him dead at the scene.

The Jeep was found Tuesday morning at a Lacey Fred Meyer store, police said. Investigators said the victim borrowed the vehicle and was going to the store.

They are now trying to figure out what happened after he went to the store and what led to his death.

Police said they have no motive or suspect in the case.

All four lanes of Capitol Way were closed while crime scene investigators examined the area. Drivers were being detoured.
