3 Killed In Crashes In Kitsap, Snohomish Counties

Posted: 10:11 am PST November 16, 2009

A 25-year-old Marysville man was killed in a crash that hurt five others, including a 1-year-old boy, in Kitsap County.

Troopers said the driver of a sedan pulled out in front of a truck outside of Poulsbo.

The driver of the sedan died early Saturday.

Five people inside the car were taken to a hospital. Four have serious injuries.

Troopers believe drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.

In Snohomish County, two men were killed in what sheriff's deputies think was a crash caused by a combination of high speed and alcohol.

Police said a car left North Road early Saturday morning at 70 to 80 mph.

The speed limit on that road is 35 mph.

The car was so crumpled that firefighters spent 1-1/2 hours freeing two other two men in the vehicle.

One of those men was in critical condition, the other in serious condition.
