Jackknifed Semi Blocks I-5 SB In Bellingham

SEATTLE -- A jackknifed semi blocked all southbound lanes of Interstate 5 in Bellingham during Monday’s evening commute.Speed may have been a factor in the incident that started shortly after 4 p.m., said Washington State Patrol Trooper Keith O’Leary. It was also raining at the time.No one was injured.The southbound lanes of I-5 near Bakerview Road were closed for several hours while crews investigated and cleaned up the scene.Traffic was able to exit at Bakerview Road and get right back on the freeway.No other vehicles were involved.
