TACOMA, Wash. -- Three citizens are credited with saving a woman when they held on to her before she could jump off the Tacoma Narrows Bridge, said the Washington State Patrol.The 45-year-old woman stopped her car at mid-span and climbed over the rail in an attempt to jump off the bridge.Three passing motorists saw the woman, stopped, and grabbed her to keep her from jumping, police said.They were able to hold on to her until officers from Washington State Patrol and the Tacoma Police Department arrived and took over.Officers held the woman’s hand through the railing of the bridge until a rescue team with a harness could pull her over the side.
