Search For Possible Body In Puget Sound Suspended

Authorities have suspended the search for a body that may have been seen in the water near the Mukilteo ferry terminal Thursday morning.

The Coast Guard said at 9:20 a.m., two witnesses reported seeing a possible person in the water who was wearing a brown hooded sweatshirt, jeans and black shoes.

Multiple agencies searched using a helicopter and several boats but found nothing.

Ferries in the area were diverted or service was suspended during the search operation.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Snohomish County Sheriff's Officer at 425-407-3971.
