Police in Lewis County said a man accused of shooting a Pe Ell man was arrested Friday morning.

Lewis County Chief Deputy Stacy Brown said 33-year-old Lehman Neil Delavergne hid outside the victim's home on Katula Road and waited for the man to come out Wednesday night.

When the 26-year-old victim walked out of his home, Delavergne shot an arrow from a crossbow that struck the victim, Brown said.

The men, who police said are known to each other, began fighting. Brown said Delavergne stabbed the victim numerous times in the torso.

The victim suffered severe head and chest injuries and was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle where he remains in stable condition.

After two days of investigation and searching for Delavergne, Lewis County deputies negotiated with Delavergne to voluntary surrender.

Police said he turned himself in to Lewis County deputies at a home in the Pe Ell area shortly after 10 a.m.

Delavergne was transported to the Lewis County Jail where he will be booked on charges of attempted first-degree murder.
