Tulalip Man Wanted In Fatal Beating Of Toddler Arrested

A Snohomish County fugitive who was wanted in the death of his girlfriend's baby was arrested Friday, KIRO 7's partner the Daily Herald said.

James Fryberg was also wanted in connection with a pharmacy robbery this week in Marysville.

Police found the 21-year-old Fryberg in the woods near the Tulalip reservation, the area of his last known address.

Fryberg had been on the run for over three days after skipping a bail hearing. Soon after, police said he robbed a Haggan pharmacy.

Fryberg was arrested last year, accused of beating 5- month-old Damonico Ashby to death.

The man was free on a 1$00,000 bail. On Tuesday, prosecutors planned on asking for Fryberg's bail to be raised to $1 million. He failed to appear and became a wanted fugitive.
