Snohomish-Area Man Critically Injured By Gunshot To Groin

A man is in critical condition after he was shot in the groin at a home in unincorporated Snohomish early Wednesday.

Sheriff's deputies said they were called to the home in the 17700 block of Broadway Avenue at about 1:30 a.m. for a report of a shooting.

Detectives said a 30-year-old man, who was a visitor at the home was outside when he was confronted by four or five men.

Police said the victim, who apparently knows the men, felt threatened and ran back inside the house. The men followed him and one shot the victim in the groin. The men then fled.

No arrests have been made. Detectives continue to investigate the shooting, including the motive and the relationship between the victim and the suspects.
