Motorcyclist Killed In Woodinville Crash

A motorcyclist died at the hospital after a crash in Woodinville, said Sgt. John Urquhart of the King County Sheriff’s Office.

The 68-year-old Mercer Island man died when he slid into a vehicle shortly before 9 a.m. Friday near at Northeast 195th Street and Woodinville-Snohomish Road Northeast.

The man was traveling eastbound when he went down and hit his head as he slid into a vehicle traveling westbound, Urquhart said.

He was wearing a motorcycle helmet, but died at the scene.

Police said they do not believe the motorcycle and vehicle collided.

The other vehicle was driven by a 17-year-old boy from Woodinville.

Police continue to investigate.
