WENATCHEE -- A Chelan County Sheriff's deputy was arrested for suspected vehicle hit and run and DUI on Friday.

Deputy Mark Mann was arrested by Wenatchee Police officers after Mann's vehicle was reported leaving the scene of an accident in Wenatchee, and leaving the scene of another accident in South Wenatchee.

He was arrested in his vehicle a short distance from the second accident.

Mann has been placed on administrative leave with pay pending an investigation into the incidents.

Mann is the former Public Information Officer for the Tacoma Police department.
