Posted: 5:52 am PST January 16, 2004Updated: 8:38 am PST January 16, 2004

A light earthquake with a magnitude of 3.6 was recorded early Friday, and a number of Puget Sound-area residents said they felt it and saw items rattle on shelves.

Damage is rare from a quake of that magnitude, and there were no reports of damage from callers to KIRO 7 Eyewitness News who said they felt the tremor.
