'Average Joe' Bank Robbery Suspect Arrested

SEATTLE -- A man believed to be the "Average Joe" bank robber -- wanted in a series of nine bank heists in our region -- has been captured, KIRO 7 Eyewitness News reported.
The FBI confirmed that a man was arrested Wednesday following news reports of the serial bank robber whose appearance and modus operandi are unremarkable.
The head of a Federal Way-area utility district told KIRO 7 Eyewitness News some employees there thought they recognized the man as a temporary worker hired through an agency.The FBI said the man was tracked down Wednesday afternoon and arrested.The man's identity was not immediately released.On Tuesday, the FBI released new bank surveillance camera images of the man following the man's most recent robbery, at a Bank of America at 32011 Pacific Highway South in Federal Way on Monday.In his other robberies, "Average Joe" didn't wear a disguise or carry anything into the bank. In Monday's robbery, he displayed a handgun in his waistband.
