Light Quake Shakes Area Near Mount Rainier

SEATTLE -- A light earthquake shook an area southeast of Mount Rainier on Monday, the University of Washington's Pacific Northwest Seismograph Network reported.
A preliminary report by UW seismologists said the 4.0-magnitude quake happened at 2:06 p.m. and was centered 18 miles southeast of Mount Rainier, about four miles below the earth's surface.There were no immediate reports of any damage or injuries.
