A state aviation spokeswoman, Nisha Hanchinamani, said weather was favorable for two helicopters, 12 planes and 60 volunteers from the Civil Air Patrol and Washington Air Search and Rescue.

The search area covers 2,400 square miles from Snoqualmie Pass to Stevens pass and east toward Leavenworth and Ellensburg.

The former Russian jet fighter trainer with two men on board disappeared Tuesday on a flight from Seattle to Lewiston, Idaho, after the pilot radioed he was losing control.

Anyone who thinks they may have seen or heard the plane may call the tip line at the search base at Bowers Field, Ellensburg, at (206) 940-9366.

KIRO 7 Eyewitness News reported the missing plane was listed for sale on the online auction Web site eBay.

The plane was painted to look like an Air Force jet. The asking price was $190,000. See the listing on eBay.

As of Thursday, it had been up for sale for four days and there were no bids.
