TACOMA -- A 37-year-old man from Sequim has
been convicted on child-pornography charges.
Robert Carl Patterson was convicted in Tacoma on seven counts of
receiving child pornography and one count of possessing child
pornography.
The investigation of Patterson began in September of 2003, when
his ex-girlfriend alerted the Clallam County sheriff's office.
Investigators said they found thousands of digital images of
children, some as young as three or four years old, engaged in
sexually explicit conduct.
The images were in Patterson's computer and on computer disks.
Receipt of child pornography is punishable by five to 20 years
in prison. Patterson's sentencing is scheduled for April 15th.
