Four victims of the crash, who were flown to Harborview Medical Center, were in critical condition on Monday. Three others were recovering at hospitals in Kitsap County.

A truck with four people inside collided head-on with a minivan, also with four people inside, on Highway 3 just south of Bremerton at about 9:15 p.m.

"The truck that was southbound on SR 3 was part of a church community group here, (and a) teenager from that youth group is deceased," said Trooper Brian George of the Washington State Patrol.

The name of the girl who died and the church group were not released.

The four people in the minivan were believed to be a family, KIRO 7 Eyewitness News reported.
