Deputies Arrest Gunman In Skagit County

SEDRO-WOOLLEY, Wash. -- Skagit County investigators say they arrested a man accused of shooting another man in the head at close range.Authorities say the shooting happened around 6:45 p.m. along Morgan Hill Lane, about 10 miles southeast of Sedro-Woolley in the Day Creek neighborhood.The victim was rushed to nearby United General Hospital in a pickup truck. A nursing supervisor at the medical center told KIRO 7 the injured man was stable before he was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.Skagit County Sheriff's Deputies arrested the gunman at about 1:00 a.m. Thursday. Authorities say he is known to deputies and may be a relative of the victim.
