Someone broke into the southern King County home of the special agent in charge for the Department of Transportation on March 4, ripping out telephones and phone wiring in the house. An identification badge and other property worth more than $10,000 were also taken, the King County Sheriff's Office said.

Later that day, surveillance cameras at a Safeway Store at South 216th Street and Pacific Highway South captured images of a couple trying to use the stolen credit card to buy groceries.

The sheriff's office is asking anyone who recognizes either person to call (206) 296-3311 or 911.
