The girl's mother reportedly left her in the car alone for a short time when the car careened down the hill. The mother ran after the car, but was unable to help her daughter.

Neighbors watched it all unfold and rushed to help the girl. "I jumped out, put on my shoes, walked down to the end of this road, and actually saw the car turned over with a little girl who was apparently in the car," said George Hall, Eyewitness.

Within an hour, a tow truck lifted the small Mercedes out of the ravine, covered in vegetation from the Thornton Creek Park. Those who witnessed it all said they are still amazed.

The girl is in stable condition with a couple of scratches. Police are still investigating how the accident happened.
