LINCOLN COUNTY, Wash. -- Tuesday afternoon ,Lincoln authorities received a report of an abandoned fetus at rest area on Interstate 90 near Sprague. The deceased fetus was found in the disabled stall of the women’s restroom.

Investigators believe the fetus was in the third trimester and weighed between 3-5 pounds.

Lincoln County deputies are asking for anyone who may have been in the westbound Sprague rest area between 2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, and saw a tall slender, white female that appeared to be in her early 20s wearing a large beach towel with the word “HAWAII” across it, to contact Sheriff Wade Magers at 509-725-3501.
