Donate To Help Victims Of Hurricane Katrina

In response to hurricane Katrina, KIRO 7 Eyewitness News, The News Tribune, The Daily Herald and The American Red Cross are asking for your help in raising funds to support victims of Hurricane Katrina.

KIRO 7, the New Tribune and The Daily Herald have opened a KIRO 7 Katrina Relief Fund at Washington Mutual Bank.

Monetary donations can be made at all branch locations.

All of the money collected will go to the American Red Cross.

One hundred percent of the funds collected by the Red Cross will go to the Hurricane Katrina Disaster Relief Fund, enabling the Red Cross to provide shelter, food, counseling and other assistance to those in need across the country.

If you are a homeowner who has space for evacuees, you can help by visiting www.katrinahousingnw.org.

The local animal rescue group Pasado's Safe Haven is helping animals left stranded in the hurricane. Donations can be made at their Web site.
