Gun Used In Lakewood Shooting Linked To Drive-by

Posted: 8:39 am PDT September 14, 2005Updated: 9:38 am PDT September 14, 2005

The gun used in a shooting that left a Fort Lewis soldier and the wife of another soldier dead may be linked to a separate shooting, Lakewood detectives told KIRO 7 Eyewitness News.

Investigators said the gun Jamaal Lewis allegedly used to kill the two on Labor Day may have been the same weapon used in a drive-by shooting in late August that left one man injured.

Crystal Hurley-McDowell, 23 and Jason Jowers, 26, were found dead in a car in the parking lot of the Schooner Pub and Galley soon after witnesses reported gunfire just after midnight Sept. 5, investigators said.
