Fire Breaks Out At U-District Restaurant

A fire broke out late Sunday night in the kitchen of the Taste of India restaurant on Roosevelt Way Northeast in Seattle’s University District.

Seattle firefighters were on the scene just after 11:30 p.m. Sunday night. The fire was under control within 10 to 15 minutes and was prevented from spreading to nearby buildings.

No one was inside the restaurant at the time of the blaze.

Investigators are looking for the cause of the fire. They said there was no indication that the fire was set intentionally.
