At least one person is facing serious charges for a riot in Bellingham last weekend, reported KIRO 7 Eyewitness News.

Police said about 300 young people gathered for a party near the Western Washington University campus Saturday.

At some point, someone called police to complain. Police said that when officers arrived, up to a dozen partygoers tossed bottles at them for over an hour.

“I don’t mind when people are having parties, but things were getting totally out of control,” said neighbor Robert Rogoz.

So far, police have made only one arrest but said they plan to review tapes of the incident to determine whether anyone else should faces charges.

Police may also take action against the people who hosted the party.
