A collision in Auburn involving two trucks and a car left one person dead, one seriously hurt and a main street closed for hours on Monday.

The crash in the 2500 block of B Street Northwest happened at about 9 a.m., firefighters said.

Rescue crews extricated two drivers who were trapped in their vehicles.

The driver of a vacuum truck was killed. The driver of the car was taken to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition.

The street will be closed until at least early afternoon, firefighters said.

A witness told KIRO 7 Eyewitness News reporter Rick Price that it looked like the car pulled out of a parking lot onto B Street and was then struck.

"We're not sure of the exact sequence of events that started this yet," said Sgt. Jamie Sidell of the Auburn Police Department. "That's what that team out there's going to do is determine where the cars were when this started."
