The 26-year-old woman was on her bike at 35th Avenue Southwest and Southwest Graham Street when she collided with the van as it turned the corner at about 7:45 a.m. She hit the vehicle head-on at a "high rate of speed," police said.

Video from Chopper 7 showed the bicycle and a bike helmet lying in the intersection as police investigated.

Police shut down the northbound lanes of 35th Avenue Southwest in the area. The lanes were expected to be closed until about 11 a.m., police said.
