KIRO 7’s Steve Raible hosted the Assistance League of the Eastside’s “Run for the Roses” in Bellevue.
With 378 guests in attendance, the event raised $78,000 to benefit families across King County. Money from the event will specifically go toward four of the ALE’s programs including Operation School Bell, Assault Survivor Kits, Starting Over Support, and Assistance League Outreach.
As a Kentucky native himself, Steve’s attendance and duties were quite appropriate for the Kentucky Derby Themed Luncheon and Fashion Show. His witty and engaging humor created a festive atmosphere that encouraged giving and attributed to the overall success of the event.
The Assistance League of the Eastside is an all-volunteer nonprofit organization that puts caring and commitment into action through community-based philanthropic programs to make a positive difference in the lives of children and adults touched by hardship or violence.
